Virginia Madueno is the President of IMAGEN, LLC, a communications and marketing firm established in 2001. She is was also recently named the President of US Government Relations for the Sino American Trade Development Association. She was appointed by Governor Jerry Brown to the California Commission on Boating and Waterways March 2013 and is a former council member and Mayor for the City of Riverbank.

EDUCATION AND HONORS
Virginia has a BA in Communications from CSU Stanislaus and is a graduate of the 2006 JFK School of Government at Harvard, National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI), a fellowship program which recognizes 22 women in the nation to further develop their leadership abilities. IMAGEN was awarded the 2008 Trailblazer Business of the Year by the National Association of Women Business Owners and Wells Fargo and was awarded the 2008 Latina Style Magazine Business of the Year Award, where she was awarded the Anna Maria Arias scholarship to attend the Dartmouth School of Business Minority Enterprise Program in 2009.
Virginia Madueño, founder and owner of the firm, has more than 20 years of private and public sector experience in advertising, public relations, social marketing, grass roots outreach, and event coordination. Our proactive programs are carefully tailored to each project’s needs and are designed and implemented to increase awareness and promote a positive image for each client.
As Vice President of Business Development for the Sino American Trade Development Association Laura Li is responsible for developing business and investment opportunities for both US and Chinese firms. Laura was born and raised in mainland China. She is multi-lingual in Mandarin, English and French. Living in Las Vegas since 2006 has provided her a deep understanding and appreciation for the politics, economy, culture and trade policies of both countries. Prior to joining SATDA Laura worked for 8 years in the convention industry. During her career with SATDA Laura has recruited over 1,000 members in China and over 100 in the US. Deals directly attributable to her efforts exceed $100mm.
Joe Heaney is the former President of CornNuts, he led the company through a 7x revenue increase and a successful divestiture. After 3 successful turnarounds in 3 different industries, Joe created and led start-ups in such diverse industries as CPG and green technologies. He has also served on a number of private and non-profit Boards ranging from consumer goods to personal transportation vehicles and construction. His expertise is in assessing the critical issues in a business, then developing a strategy to achieve the best combination of product, technology, and distribution, with a profitable business model and long-term, sustainable competitive advantage. Joe understands how to build and deliver shareholder value, navigating through seven successful acquisitions/divestitures. Joe is an alumnus of Penn State and Harvard Business School.
